Welcome to Love&Dye. Nestled in Raynes Park, Wimbledon Love&Dye was started two years ago by entrepreneurs Peter Rozanski and Bruce Cox. With 20 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, they have created a unique place which is so much more than just a hairdresser's...
"The idea was to utlilise the space in creative ways outside of its business hours and to provide a cultural and social hub for the local community and for our clients" -says Peter.
First came the weekly Community Art Classes where everyone can come and try various techniques from charcoal to glass painting. Classes start at 7.30 and run every Wednesday at Love&Dye on a pop-in basis. The group works together on a different theme each week to create fun artworks. All materials are provided for a small donation and it does not matter if you are a first time artist! Love&Dye has even hosted a number of exhibitions displaying the artworks. Also, professional painters exhibited there, most recently Justin Northcott portraying jazz musicians and other artists. The salon was marked as a destination on a map of this year's Wimbledon Art Trail.
Peter and Bruce, playing guitars themselves, converted an additional space in the salon into a music studio providing one-to-one singing, guitar, drums and piano lessons by professional teachers. So if you would like to have fun learning a new instrument this is the place to start! Classes are designed to suit all levels and ages. Music is at the heart of the salon's experience and clients can show off their skills on a grad piano while waiting for their hair service. Love&Dye organises live music events with up to 30 people in the audience. Previous performances saw soul, jazz and alternative artists.
Love&Dye due to it's environmental friendly practicies was awarded a Green Business Certificate.
Come to our eclectic hair salon for a unique experience or join us for the Wednesday art classes.
